Material ingenuity, applied

Accelerating energy transition through materials innovation

At Valerion Energy, we are leading the charge to transform
 battery technology.

We are building intelligent battery components using aramid nanofibers (ANFs) to push the boundaries of battery performance and sustainability.

01

The aramid nanofiber advantage

Aramid nanofibers (ANFs) represent a potential breakthrough in battery component technology.

Aramid materials are known for their strength and stability, featured in products such as KEVLAR and NOMEX.

Valerion's nanofibers are 1/10,000th the width of KEVLAR macrofibers, unlocking nanoscale properties, including exceptional performance as a battery separator material. The intrinsic toughness and tunability of ANF, combined with our scalable fabrication methods, sets a new standard in battery separator performance.

Our Aramid Nanofiber Voltaic Ion-conducting Layer (ANVIL) technology aims to enable lithium sulfur (LiS) chemistry at scale.

02

Advanced mobility applications require new battery technologies

From affordable EVs to air taxis - next generation mobility applications depend on high performance, cost effective batteries.

Lithium sulfur (LiS) battery chemistry offers significantly higher energy density, enabling production of batteries with as much as ten times the density of current Li-ion batteries.

03

Transforming industries for good

The adoption of electric mobility solutions has been hampered by the high cost of batteries, exacerbated by raw material shortages, processing capacity limitations, and stressed global supply chains. Meanwhile, end-user expectations for safer, longer-lived, and higher performing batteries  continue to rise.

Sulfur is abundant - widely available as a byproduct of petroleum processing, and significantly cheaper than cobalt and nickel cathode materials.

Sulfur also alleviates geopolitical and ethical issues associated with unsafe mining operations in conflict-prone areas. Sulfur offers an sustainable cathode material option with a smaller environmental footprint.
